I subscribe to TED because they have a great eclectic group of people that speak, and as they say on their site “Ideas Worth Spreading”.
Take a deep breath and close your eyes for a moment because this one is worth spreading.
TED comes in the form of an email just like this one that you are receiving from ShootMoviesInCalifornia.Com.
The beauty of a subscription to a blog of your interest like TED is just like having an actual newspaper delivered to your door; except in the world that we live in now, the paper boy is a thing of the past and our new doorstep is the “in box” in our email program.
Whats also great about blog subscriptions is that you can just get what you want.
If you don’t read the Business Section of the paper, you don’t have to get it.
It’s kinda like iTunes, where you don’t have to buy the whole album.
If you want to subscribe to a sports blog, thats what you get, all sports.
What does this blog about TED have to do with job loss in California due to films being taken out of state?
It has something to do with it, read on.
You see, the power of the internet is amazing if used properly.
Eric Whiteacre was inspired by a young women who recorded her own YouTube video of a song that Eric had composed.
When Eric got this video (which is in this clip) it inspired him to harness the power of the internet and create a virtual choir which you will see in the same clip.
This has little to do with ShootMoviesInCalifornia.Com but a lot to do with engaging the power of the internet and what is possible when a group of people get together to share a common cause or song.
The power of the internet creates a conversation, gets people involved and eventually change will happen.
This is my hope with ShootMoviesInCalifornia.Com
The more subscribers we have to our blog, the more informed we are.
When we are informed we can make changes.
I ask that you ask your friends that are in the entertainment business and also not in the entertainment business to subscribe to this blog.
By subscribing to this blog, you will be part of the conversation or choir.
Remember that saying “your preaching to the choir”?
What I am preaching is that we need to create more jobs in order to get out of the financial situation that we are in.
When jobs film jobs leave the State of California, it effects many people that are not in the film business.
It effects the car dealerships, the dry cleaner, the supermarkets, and more.
People that work on films in Hollywood make good money and they spend that good money in the economy to create a trickle down.
Tomorrow, March 7th 2011 Eric Whiteacre’s Virtual Symphony 2.0 will be premiering on YouTube.
This time there will be over 2000 singers involved, be sure to catch it.
Here is Symphomy 1.0 below, enjoy and get your friends to subscribe to ShootMoviesInCalifornia.Com
It is a very easy way to make a change.
