I want to go on record to say that I think  Tom Cruise is a great actor.
What the heck does that first sentence have to do with this blog !?
Read on.
Some might not agree, but you cannot deny that Tom Cruise is a great actor.
Tom Cruise has been nominated for 3 Oscars. Two for Best Actor and One for Best Supporting Actor.
Have you seen his Les Grossman in Tropic Thunder
Say what you want about Tom Cruise but he is good. Look at his body of work.
………. And he was the last actor to work with Stanley Kubrick, that says something right there.
Cameron Diaz is also great.
I loved Vanilla Sky and I have worked with Tom on Far And Away and War Of The Worlds.
Ok, now that I have that out of the way, in case Tom and Cameron read this blog, I feel like I have covered myself.
I found this review of Tom and Cameron’s most recent film: Knight and Day.
I am not writing to talk about Knight and Day.
I am not a film critic, I am a Cinematographer who would prefer not to move from beautiful Sunny Southern California and follow the film industry from one tax break state to the next.
I am writing to talk about where their movie was filmed.
Read the review of the film yourself.
In fact, it’s not as much a review of the film, but more about why they made this film in Boston,MA and why are they making films in Tax Break States?
The reviewer is saying that maybe we should not just be making films because they are cheaper to make.
What a concept?!
Let’s make good films, regardless of where they are shot.
