First Spec Commercial About Keeping Film and TV Work In California
The following spec spot (scroll down) was shot by a friend of mine named, Brian Bedell.
I told Brian about the grassroots effort to keep film and TV work in California and that we are planning a film festival.
Brian, being the proactive guy that he is, put this spot together with some filmmaker friends as a submission to the festival (no date or venue yet, but stay tuned).
Brian is very passionate about keeping the work here in California and like me, DOES NOT WANT TO MOVE  and chase the tax breaks from one state to the next and the next and the next.
Brain loves to surf, and there is not much surfing in New Mexico, and surfing in Michigan sucks in December.
Several months ago I told Brian that we are planning to have a film festival about keeping work in California. Brian took it upon himself to be proactive and his spec spot here is offiicially the first submission to the film festival!
We hope to have a date and location in the next few week for  The Shoot Movies In California.com Film Festival, so stay tuned and tell you friends to subscribe to this blog so they can receive news and updates about the festival and other efforts that we are working on and accomplishments that we have made.

I hope your efforts will be an example to others that they can use their professional skills to help get the message out and practice the craft they love to do which makes them a living and express themselves creatively which in itself creates change.
